Privacy
The short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies, and we don't sell or share anything about you. Updated 7 November 2026.
Your location
When you allow it, your phone sends its location to our server to find the nearest air monitor. We use it for that and don't store it. Our hosting provider's request logs may hold it briefly (a few days at most) for running the service.
Home follows your location only while the app is on screen. Nothing runs when it's in the background or closed, and you can turn location off in your browser or phone settings at any time.
Kept on your phone only
Your saved places, your last location (so Home opens quickly), and a copy of your alert settings are kept in your browser's storage on your phone. They never leave it, except as described under Alerts. Clearing the site's data, or uninstalling the app, deletes them.
Alerts
If you turn on alerts for a saved place, we keep on our server: the address your phone's notification service gave us, the place (a monitor, or the coordinates you saved), and your alert settings. This is not linked to your name, phone number or email; we don't ask for any of those.
Notifications are delivered through your phone's notification service. They see that a notification was sent to your phone, and its text.
To delete it: tap Turn off alerts, or remove the place. If you block notifications or uninstall the app, we delete it automatically the next time we try to send you something.
Usage counts
We count visits (for example, how many people opened the app today) to see whether it's useful. This uses no cookies and doesn't identify you or follow you across websites.
Changes
If this changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
